Ensure all equipment is clean and sterile before use. Fill the syringe and gently press the plunger to ensure the liquid flows. Lightly press the tip of the syringe against the animal's mouth. This should trigger swallowing, then continue feeding until the animal no longer wants to. If this method doesn't work, fill the syringe and gently place it in the animal's mouth. Drip a few drops onto the cheek and allow the animal to swallow. Never press hard or forcefully, as this could force the liquid into the lungs. Sometimes it's helpful to hold the animal in a soft towel for easier handling and to avoid spillage.
